Safe Riding Tips

Share the Road

Wear a Helmet

  • We recommend you bring and wear a helmet at all times to avoid any head injuries.

Follow Traffic Laws

Ride Predictably

  • Ride in a straight line, avoid swerving between parked cars.

  • Don't ride on sidewalks unless permitted.

Pay Attention and Ride Defensively

  • Stay alert and focused on your surroundings.

  • Avoid distractions like headphones or cell phones.

  • Assume that other drivers may not see you.

  • Make eye contact with drivers to ensure they see you.

When in doubt

  • GET OFF THE BIKE!

  • It is ok to stop riding if you don't feel safe.

  • If there are too many pot holes or when there are too many cars wizzing by.

  • Dismount from the bike and walk with your bike when you don't feel safe.
